[Wherever you were asleep, you are no longer there.

No, you are now in someone else's bed.

Go. Frolic. Sleep.]

[You are now asleep... somewhere. You are, fortunately or unfortunately, not glowing with dark eldritch energies as represented in this icon.

At least for the moment.]

[Is this outcome too predictable? You wouldn't know, you're fast asleep.

In any case, if you were aware of their potential existence, you would hope that those dark eldritch energies would make the current moment of nonexistence an extended one. You're getting quite enough of that funny business in your dreams already.]

[The eldritch forces do indeed remain absent, and you remain curled peacefully asleep on your bed, enjoying only the normal, pleasant variety of dreams of magical forces and zoologically dubious creatures that your subconscious provides without outside influence.]

[Yes, you both seem sufficiently distracted by your various dreaming states not to notice that you aren't quite as alone on this particular sleeping apparatus as you remember being. Or, to call back to a previous statement and enforce the point through repetition...

At least for the moment.]

[As if in response to that bit of deliberate foreshadowing, you begin to stir somewhat in your sleep, which is a thing that people do, even people who are normally represented symbolically in an entirely static fashion while unconscious.

In any case, you roll over and throw an arm over your unconscious bedmate.]

[You, as said unconscious bedmate, would likely have had a most amusing alien-romance-fueled reaction to this sudden, somewhat intimate contact under other circumstances. Unfortunately, your mind is quite preoccupied with horrorterrors you consider even more unpleasant than a number of others do, so the touch instead has the effect of awakening you and drawing out a small gasp.]

[You stir somewhat at the sound, but don't fully awaken, although you do mumble slightly in your sleep.]

[Now that circumstances have changed, after a moment to recover from your dreams, you proceed to have a most amusing alien-romance-fueled reaction to this unexpected, somewhat intimate contact. A silent reaction for the moment, but still a very surprised one.]

[And now that that clearly necessary reaction has been dealt with, you rise the rest of the way to consciousness, and, as you slowly become aware of the other presence in your bed, confusion. You open your eyes.]

Kanaya?

[You snatch your arm back and sit up in bed. Given Terezi's recent comments about Kanaya's romantic feelings for you, this is a little embarrassing, and it is possible you are blushing, although you would certainly never admit it.]

...
That doesn't make any sense at all.
But.
Somehow I don't think you're lying.
At the very least I believe you could come up with a better excuse than that.

[Assuming Rose was blushing, the two of you would make something of a matching pair. That is, if you had the same blood color of course. Which you don't.]

Actually
I Kind Of Wish I Had
Not That It Isnt The Truth
But Hearing Myself Say It Aloud
It Sounds Even More Ridiculous

Well.
I'm given to understand that this place has a will of its own that likes to play pranks for shits and giggles.
Given that it's capable of spontaneously moving people across universes, I don't see that opposite sides of the building would pose much challenge.
I suppose it was only a matter of time before we experienced it firsthand.

In Comparison It Is An Unimpressive Use Of The Powers We Already Know Our Captors To Possess
But The Spirit Of The Act Is Somewhat Bothersome
Bringing About These Kinds Of Events Just To Incite Confusion

Indeed.
Although it's a confirmation of what Dave was saying.
That there doesn't seem to be much in the way of deeper objectives at work here.
I suppose it could be an attempt at psychological warfare.
But with the powers at work here I suspect they could do better than spawning strange episodes of interpersonal awkwardness.

It Does Seem That Way
But If Petty Annoyances Are The Goal Here
Maybe We Can Turn The Tables On This "Camp"
