ITP: Mistletoe... over my dead body! (Literally.)
[It seems that that pernicious holiday plant is out and about again! Mistletoe, above and below and around and everywhere.
But what might catch someone's attention as a little bit more unusual for camp in December is a body lying on the ground over there. He's a handsome devil, maybe in his late thirties or early forties, wearing a pretty badass RAF greatcoat... but sadly, it doesn't seem like the most wonderful time of the year for him. Pale, unmoving, cold -- and, yes, for you spiritual types who would note such a thing in the same manner, decidedly dead.
What's a person to do? Perhaps get closer. Though if one chooses to do so, one would notice, too late, that the mistletoe also has extended its touchy-feely reach around the area in which the corpse is lying. Surely... surely it couldn't force a person to...? But no, it seems that not even something such as this is sacred to the forces of camp and the one with the Good Samaritan impulse and/or misfortune to end up by the poor sucker who kicked the bucket here will be compelled to do as the Prince did to post-apple Snow White--
Whereupon the I-could-swear-it-was-a-corpse-just-a-second-ago spasms and sits bolt upright, eyes wide open as he says:]
...was somebody kissing me?
((Mistletoe post! With the added pledge that EVERYONE WHO TAGS THIS POST WILL GET A KISS WITH JACK. Dead or alive, your choice whether you want to have gotten caught with his corpse or just to have seen it happen to some other unfortunate soul. Little kids get cute kisses on the top of the head, of course. And I beg your patience, as my home internet, to which I am currently connected, is neither the swiftest nor the sturdiest.
