Since it seems to be a current topic in camp, I thought it would be a good time for this post... as many of you probably know, there are at least a few demons here who need to eat the flesh of other thinking beings to survive. I'm... the de facto leader for my tribe, Embryon, while our true leader is away, and we're a small group of those demons.

Cannibalism is universally monstrous. Don't think you're being noble by asking for volunteers. By definition, "volunteering" for this indicates a mental unwellness that you're taking advantage of.

It's possible that you're correct. It's also not unheard of that people have a rational reaction to death losing so much of its finality here, and fear it less in response.

I never suggested that we were being noble... regardless, it's the choice of each individual how much they value their uninterrupted lives.

Camp has been more than generous in 'accomodating' your needs. If you cross the line and eat actual campers, be prepared to face the consequences.

We've done it before, whether because they volunteered or because they were our enemies. Are the consequences already inevitable, or are you waiting till the way we conduct our lives offends you in a way which you can see?

...I beg you to reconsider. There's really no practical way to have a war here, and it won't lead to anything but problems and pain for the people surrounding both you and my tribe.

I won't back down from something that would make my comrades happier. We've been living here peacefully for years like this... don't put the onus of your own decisions on our choices.

I won't be complacent while people are caged in here with you and asked to be meals. It's monstrous and goes beyond what I'm willing to tolerate.

People are killed here without consent relatively often. Devouring is monstrous, but given the circumstances of camp, I don't believe what we're doing now is worse than that.
