You can make pies, or breads, and toast the seeds.

You carve a face on it, like this . . . [ shows off a half finished one, it looks kind of >:D ] and then put a candle inside. It's like a lantern!

Sometimes it's nice to do something for no reason other to than to have some fun.

Do you want to carve one? Later we're going to have pie too, unless you get sick of pumpkins by then.

[ carefully pushes over a knife and a big spoon and a bowl. ] Do you want a smaller pumpkin or a larger one?

Usually I start with the hole in the top, and scoop out the insides, and then cut from there. But it doesn't matter how you do it, really, as long as you have fun.
