[ At a table in your mess hall is a young woman with some pumpkins (everything from huuuuuuuuge to itty bitty). Some knives, a few bowls to dump the goop in and some candles. She is working on a small pumpkin herself |Db ]

[. . . taking a seat across from her]

What would you cook with it?

You can make pies, or breads, and toast the seeds.

You carve a face on it, like this . . . [ shows off a half finished one, it looks kind of >:D ] and then put a candle inside. It's like a lantern!

Do you want to carve one? Later we're going to have pie too, unless you get sick of pumpkins by then.

Ah . . . I'll try it. And I will try the pie too.

All right! I hope you have fun.

[ carefully pushes over a knife and a big spoon and a bowl. ] Do you want a smaller pumpkin or a larger one?

[glancing at her set-up to figure this out]

Smaller, please.

This all right? [ smallish! But not too small to be tricky :|a ]

Usually I start with the hole in the top, and scoop out the insides, and then cut from there. But it doesn't matter how you do it, really, as long as you have fun.
