[on this fine morning! ... or not-so-fine morning, considering that it's late October and fairly overcast this morning, but whatever. ... on this morning! outside the mess hall, there are numerous scarecrows surrounding it, with an eerie amount of crows perched on them. this would, of course, be much more disorienting and potentially disturbing if they weren't 'caww'ing along to what may just be a very familiar theme ...]
