[So, somewhere in camp there is now a pumpkin patch! If you needed any pumpkins for carving or anything else, you can now get them if you want.]

You carve a face into a hollow pumpkin and then place a lit candle inside.

Why?

It is a Halloween tradition that started in Ireland. To keep them on your doorstep is supposed to ward off evil spirits.
