A number of people seem to have received an object, they are, most likely, spending as long as possible with this object and refusing to let go of it to the point of growing violent if someone attempts to part them from it

What happens if the object is taken away?

The person becomes aggressive regardless of how close they are to the person taking it away. I am not sure of what will happen after he wakes up, but I imagine he will become aggressive again and demand it back.

The person I know was agitated and defensive, but he was still trying to make some sense. He acted like he thought something good was about to happen.

I just spoke with a boy who was perfectly rational aside for the fact that he refused to part from it.

They think it's going to do something for them. I don't know what.

Maybe taking them away is the best option.

Have you found out what the object is? It looked almost like an apple, but something was... wrong with it.

A rotting apple, with something that looks like a skull inside.

I think the more rotten it is, the better hold it has on its victim. But I can't confirm it, having only seen two of them.

Does it get worse the more time they spend with it?

It would make sense, but I cannot confirm anything, I only learned about this a couple of hours ago.
