... I could answer this better if I knew what a comic book was.

You don't know? They're books with little pictures and speech bubbles. Much more fun than normal books.

... but mine would probably be a bit boring. There'd be a lot of sitting around and shouting.

They're way easier, yeah. And it's better for fight scenes to be able to really see the action. You sure there wouldn't be any action in yours?

Educational, I would imagine, but that depends on the narrative structure. If it's left to John however, the genre would be children's action stories.
