[picks up a drifting balloon, one of the ones you can twist and shape into an animal] There's many different shapes and sizes.

So you don't mean literally. [holds out hand for the balloon]

[hands it over] Oh, I didn't say that. There's also water balloons, party balloons and more, but they all share something.

[twisting balloon into ... something] Rubber! In their current form. Except for the foil ones.

True, but what do they share with minds?

[hands you a balloon dog] They can be changed and manipulated but not out of the limits of their design.

True. And if you fill them with too much air?

The inevitable. They'll no longer be useful.

I'd rather balloons be balloons and minds be minds.
