The only high school I ever went to was fairly seriously abnormal, and not in a good way. I did track, though, technically.

Well, we usually start L-platers off with some starjump motions... [demonstrates]

What's an L-plater?

It's slang for learner. Hey, that's good!

Thanks... I know it's not really the same, but I can do... well...

[launches into what looks like a kinda wacky martial arts kata, not super fancy or perfect, but surprisingly competent -- no flips, but high kicks and jump kicks and a couple kip-ups and a handstand walkover, which is not part of the kata, but she throws it in at the end for good measure.]

Wow! See, that's sort of like a cheerleading routine, but kind of more kickass.

I'm not sure where I'd fit in the pom poms, though.

Quinn Fabray. Not every cheerleader uses pom poms in a routine, especially if they're doing hand-stands like that.
