I can really only stare at so much endless horizon before I start to think I'm going crazy.

That might be why it's disconcerting to you. It takes some time to get used to this much space.

I dunno. Over a yearish. I didn't notice it was so long when we were back with all the crazy trees and stuff. But it's like time stands still here and all you do is wonder how much if it really passed.
