At this point, until we manage to figure more out, your guess is as good as mine. Whatever was in those syringes really effected people..

It has taken effect startlingly fast. Almost no latency period, which speaks to me of it being engineered. Not that much of a surprise, given the labs under the camp were used for making things like that.
