[There is a young man in the library, who seems to be taking notes in his black notebook.

Right over his head, the name "Yagami Light" is hovering. Will you say something? Check a mirror? Stare at everyone else?]

((OOC: Your full, real name is hovering over your head! ...also, no one will die in this post.))

[There is a long line of silvery, ethereal, Arabic-looking characters above her head, and then it's stops to flash Dairine E Callahan before starting up again]

...Huh.

Guess it was determined to scroll my whole name.

Your name is in multiple languages?

The one in English, that's what my parents gave me. Eliane, if you're wondering. The one in the Speech is the name I use when working on wizardry. It's a more complete name, but I can't explain how properly.

It's more interesting than my name, at any rate.

You're lucky this is the shorthand version. The long version includes my current favorite book, movie, and food.

And I think your name is nice.

In your name? Geez, that's kinda unnecessarily long-winded.

If you say so. It's a pretty common name.

When you do the kind of work I do, you don't want to accidentally confuse yourself with any other Dairine Eliane Callahan who might exist.

. . . I haven't seen something like that before.

It's called the Speech.

The Speech?

That language. It describes me more thoroughly than my name in English does.

How does it do that?

Oh, by listing metadata about me. Like my current favorite book, how tall I am, exactly how old I am. Stuff like that.

. . . interesting.
