See, there's a hospital and several bars, so I think we can afford to give serious thought to the food we're being served, too.

Maybe, but it just makes being stuck here even harder if you get too picky about things. From what I understand, you could be here for months or years, there's no real formula to it.

It's that possibility what worries me the most. if my stay here was guaranteed to last no more than two weeks, I'd make some sacrifices. The moment you decide it's okay to eat mutant food, it's a slippery slope where I could end up wearing crocs.

I probably shouldn't push my luck. A world without crocs could also be a world without Marc Jacobs. Or Gucci . . .

That's what they insisted they were when the fad started, but I don't discount the theory that they're the result of cross-breeding Dutch clogs, cheap plastic and a piece of Gruyère cheese.
