Hmm... I think a holiday is a day that's particularly special to a whole group of people, but I think it's sweet you feel that way every day.

I see...a whole group of people create a holiday, and that is why it is called that.

Maybe, though I'm not sure "holiday" comes from "whole". I'm not sure where it comes from, actually.

It matters not where it comes from. It is a good word.

[was making more snow-black mages]

Holidays are special days. I'm pretty sure the word comes from "holy day."

Oh! Of course, that would make sense.

I swear it was a pun in some play I read ... but for the life of me I can't remember which one!

You know, you could just say one and I wouldn't know the difference.

What.

No, that isn't it at all. I did not ask what. "What" is the whole-iday. I asked "why?"

I got that the first time.

Because we need them, that's why.

The drill has itself now?

Yes. It must seek its own destiny.

They're not the same thing. Holidays are completely different from holey days. . . Why do you have so many holey days?

I have been learning thus.

That is a very easy question! My days are whole because I am with Simon. However, if I were not with Simon, my days would still be whole, for he would be in my heart, and I in his.

But holey days are when you wake up and find out the shirt or underwear you wanted to wear has a hole in it. I think you mean something else.

I see! I mean entire days, when we are together in ourselves.

If you care not so much for your clothes, however, it is possible for a holey day to be a whole day.
