[The mess hall certainly looks different today. Each table is filled with different types of wine, and plenty of glasses. There are even discreetly placed spittoons around the room.

By the reds there is a gentleman, slowly swirling the wine in his glass]

[shrugs] I find it enjoyable, but to each their own.

No . . . this seems to be the only event occurring here tonight.

Well, okay. I guess I'll have a glass of whatever you're havin' then.

[pours the lady a glass of merlot]

This vintage seems to be an excellent one.

[ sips it ] Don't think it's to my tastes, but I won't say no to havin' a little of what you're servin'.

Wine can be something of an acquired taste.

It ain't too bad, but it's too bad ya don't got food to go with 'em.

An event such as this is purely about the taste of the wine. Bring food into the equation would disrupt that.

But cheese would go great with it!

Perhaps camp will take you suggestion, if it chooses to present us with another wine event.
