You must be new here.
You think this is paradise?
Go "talk" to Marcy.

Is Marcy the one
Maintaining this beauty? I
Would gladly praise her.

Oh, you can praise her,
But keep in mind she says thanks
Through badtouch and shame.

There can be no shame
Among the beautiful glow
Of waters of love.

[ . . . ]

Get a little closer and you'll find out just how sheltering the lake isn't.

Is it instead a deep and dark mystic water where nymphs fear to tread?

is_my_copilot October 29 2009, 01:25:50 UTC
. . . that's not exactly how I'd phrase it, but close enough.

But it's so beautiful. [reaching a hand out longingly towards the water dramatically] Don't you wish to feel its gentle coolness surrounding you?

[...from a safe distance away]

I'd step away from the lake, if I were you.

purpleprosebud October 29 2009, 01:24:28 UTC
But to distance myself from its beauty! Why, good sir?

It's for your own good. Trust me.

Of course, if you're a fan of tentacle rape, please feel free to ignore me.

Tentacle...rape? To be so sullied, without the gentle touch of true love! How dreadful.

I'm afraid that you'll find yourself disappointed.

Reply

purpleprosebud October 29 2009, 01:38:03 UTC
But how could this beauty disappoint?

masterpartyvan October 29 2009, 01:53:23 UTC
It is merely a lure. The colors come from the poisons in it, and the lake's surface conceals a variety of creatures that would do you harm, should you go too close.

How dreadful! To have such beauty hide such darkness...

aheartfeltoath October 29 2009, 01:38:55 UTC
...I don't think there are any nymphs in there!

Reply

purpleprosebud October 29 2009, 01:52:27 UTC
But there should! Every exquisitely beautiful place should be accented by nymphs. I'm sure in their absence, your loveliness serves to accentuate the lake's beauty wonderfully.

aheartfeltoath October 29 2009, 01:56:50 UTC
Ah, thank you! As long as I don't have to stand too close.

And you should probably take a step back too.

Reply

purpleprosebud October 29 2009, 02:06:59 UTC
Of course, fair maiden. [steps back] But why?
