[Delirium has a small, two-headed turtle.]

Look, my wingthing evolved! I think I'll name it George.

Yes, see, doesn't he look neat?

[holds up the tiny turtle]

His wings went away though.

[...stares at your turtle]

Are you sure it's not just a mutant turtle?

Of course I am. I raised him myself, from when he was only a baby wingthing.

So... What did he look like when he was a baby wingthing?

A teeny weeny turtle shell with a dragonfly wing and a dragon wing. He was pretty.

It must have been?

Why did you wait until now to name him?

Been what?

Um, I hadn't seen him in a long time, and by then I'd forgotten what name I gave him then. And then he'd been an it. Now he's very much a he. He needed a boy name.

Pretty.

You... forgot what you named him? [sigh] I'm not really sure being renamed is better than having one's name forgotten. That sort of thing would cause an identity crisis.

Oh. Right. That was a funny question.

I don't think wingthings and ex-wingthings would get that problem. They know if they're wingthings or not.

...I guess it was.

Wait. He's an ex-wingthing now? He's not just a mature one? And even if he knows he's a former wingthing... Getting a new name is-- This is confusing.

He evolved. It's like with caterpillars becoming butterflies. Kind of.

Yes. That's typical.

If the wingthing is the caterpillar, then what do you call it now?

What's typical? If you're imply that I am normally confused, I'll have to disagree.

It's not a caterpillar. It's a wingthing. What George is now is um... I don't know. It's the first time I've ever seen one like him. But he's very much not a wingthing. Wingthings have wings.

Oh. Not you specifically. People get confused a lot.

I have a suggestion: turtle.

Do they? I didn't think people were that bad.

I mean a name for a two-headed turtle. That much is obvious. He needs something extra special.

What's being confused got to do with being good or bad?
