[Between the treehouse and the cave today, one may see a small handful of blankets spread out over the lawn, each with an improvised round tray of tuna sushi and sashimi, a plate of pickled vegetables, a small selection of cakes and cookies, and a pitcher of iced tea glistening with condensation.]
It has been some time since our groups have come together for an afternoon like this. As we have, at the moment, no pertinent or outstanding issues that I am aware of, I would encourage you all to simply appreciate the day for what it is, and, perhaps, to remember that it is a result of the communication and commitment of all here that we are sitting on a well-maintained lawn, rather than a field of rubble.
Yamamoto has done us the honour of preparing the main dishes today, though due to incredibly unforeseen circumstances, is unable to attend. The note he left would have been far more comprehensible if he had finished writing it, but I believe we can be assured that he is fine. He also left without cleaning the dishes, a matter I will take up with him personally upon his return. I was responsible for both the tea and the pickles.
As always, I would remind everyone in attendance that violence during these gatherings is strictly prohibited. If you feel unable to adhere to this requirement, please remove yourself from the premises for the duration of the event.
Please feel free to help yourselves.
