A little red hen once found a grain of wheat. "Who will plant this wheat?" she said.

"I won't," says the dog.

"I won't," says the cat.

"I won't," says the pig.

"I won't," says the turkey.

"Then I will," says the little red hen. "Cluck! cluck!"

No, they did not! The poor hen had to reap the wheat all by herself, see. And then, when it was time to grind the wheat, she tried to asked the other animals for help again.

W-wah, but they helped her grind the wheat, didn't they? After they saw how much hard work Hen-san had put into it, right?!

That--that wouldn't stop her, right? Even if she didn't have any help at all she'd do all of it by herself if she had to, wouldn't she?

Mm, she would! And she did. She ground the wheat all by herself. Then she tried to ask for help to bake the bread, but again, none of the other animals would help her. But after the bread was baked, all the animals came around because it smelled so good. She asked who would help her eat the bread, and the animals who were to lazy to help MAKE the bread, all offered to help eat it.

Uhm! Maybe the story went on just a little bit more? I think it would be nice if at the end all the other animals realized that Hen-san could have really used their help. If everyone works together then they could make enough for everyone to have their fill, right? And at the very end with everyone's help they made bread that they could all eat and enjoy together!
