[around camp at the moment are little piles of strange items... some are nothing but rocks, others are all safety scissors and the rest are pieces of paper that are shaped into various forms including many swords and shields. Next to all these are signs:

1, 2, 3... FIGHT!and with his hands full of rocks is one blond kid

Well. That's ... taking it a little bit literally, but on the other hand, it's kind of novel. What are we meant to do, throw them at each other and see what happens? That's one way to have an eye out.

These rocks don't seem too heavy... maybe we're just supposed to hit them together?

Yeah, but the whole point of that game is that the other person doesn't know what you're picking. It'd be easy to win if I know you've got a rock.

Well, unless we play by New Earth rules, where you can pick dinosaur and beat everything.

I don't see any dinosaurs... so I guess we're just stuck with these.

[throws the rock... but it goes WAY to the left]

[concentrating way harder than should be necessary for this... and throws it much better]

[swinging the sword like a baseball bat at the rock, rather accurately.]

[the rock hits like silly putty and just sticks to the paper sword]

... talk about laughing in the face of physics! That's brilliant. Though, I've always thought the paper-rock rule was a bit silly. It should be easy to put a rock through paper.

Uh. It kind of looks like a tie, doesn't it?

Lame. This game is too hard.

Paper swords and shields have potential to be fun in themselves, mind you. I don't approve of violence, but they are made out of paper.

I bet you could get some serious paper cuts with one of those.
