[it's pretty rare to see a formerly respectable, now kind of scruffy ten year old light up like a bonfire and fling a twenty-foot javelin of light up at the barrier, only to have it impact off and break apart into what look like hundreds of pairs of novelty cat ears floating down to the ground]
