The sound appears to be caused by a reaction to metal.

Yeah, it seems like it. But I'm not sure what could cause something like that. There's nothing around, and it sounds like the sound is coming from the metal itself... [holds left hand to ear]

Like I would know! Why would I know something like that? I don't understand the things that go on here. I don't even understand some of the things that other people find easy to understand! Probably there's a way, though, because otherwise it wouldn't be very interesting, right?

I can see that. Probably there's some way to stop it, since it doesn't seem like it would be very entertaining after a while.
