[outside the churchshack, a boy is a brushing a girl's hair.

Sure, the boy is in a wheelchair and the girl is actually Teito, but more important is the large basket of ribbons and hairclips- free for the taking!]

See~ I told you your hair was pretty! And it's going to get prettier!

Broke my ribs, so I'm not trusted to do anything that isn't sitting or lying down!

Ouuuch, that really sucks. Was it from the other day?

It's not all that bad- the painkillers keep me asleep half the day! And yeah, from the wolf.

I had broken ribs last month and they were a pain in the ass! Why don't you find a healer or something? Sitting around is the most boring thing in the world to do.

One of the healers fixed my ear, but that was when I was still in the hospital. I don't remember who it was and I don't know any healers otherwise soooo~ that leaves recovering the old-fashioned way, boring or not!

Ew . . . well, at least you've got company and shit?

Yeah, I've got plenty of company. Teito and Fia hardly ever leave me alone, and Hakuren visits too!

I don't know who Fia or Hakuren are, but that's cool! I can drop off some manga for you if you want -- . . . can you read Japanese?

I can speak some of it, but as for reading I only know enough to be able to recognize names. The offer's appreciated though!

It's no problem, I forget not everyone's from Japan sometimes.

. . . if you get really bored, though, I've got a ton of homework from the other day that you're more than welcome to.

What type of homework?

English homework!

My English isn't any better than my Japanese, but I could do some it. It'd help my studying!

You're more than welcome to it! I've got two other languages I'm more concerned with, and English I'll learn in school anyway.

What languages are you studying? I'm doing Japanese, English, and German.
