I'm Madarame Harunobu, a concerned citizen just like you. I lead a really busy life enjoying my nation's visual entertainment, but these times when Winter Comifes is due to start in a few days *sob* I have made time to address a very important issue.
The tentacle monster, the lake beast, whatever you want to call it -- it needs our protection. You might not realize this, but this monster is a very fine and one of the last specimens of an endangered species. In some cultures, like mine, its species is revered as sacred. Woodcuts from the 19th century already depict what a blessing for Japanese spouses it is to have this animal choose your wife as the recipient for the beast's regard and favor.
Please understand, if the lake beast attempts physical contact with you, it's a cause for rejoicing. Don't attack the beast in retaliation, instead wait for one of the Japanese artists in camp to notice the situation and pull out their art supplies to immortalize the moment. In a woodcut for the more traditional out there, or sukebu and doujinshi for those more in touch with the times.
