[At this very moment, on the campgrounds of Camp Fuck U Die, situated near the Mess Hall, there is a makeshift pie-stand, one (1) Pie-Maker and one (1) not-quite-dead girl behind the stand. On the front of said stand, there is a big sign that says:

"THE PIE HOLE STAND GRAND OPENING. HAPPY PASTRY DAY."

and a name tag on the girl that says:

Hi, welcome to The Pie Hole. Would you like a slice of pie? We've got almost any flavor you could want, so if there's one in particular you would like, just let me know.

R-Really? Oh wow!

Yep. What kind would you like? We have strawberry rhubarb, cherry, apple, peach, key lime, cheesecake, derby, chocolate... There are a lot of sweet pies, but if you'd rather have something savory, there's always sweet potato pie.

You know, technically it's not a "national" holiday since that would require an act of congress, and I haven't read anything anywhere that suggests that took place.

Just because congress hasn't passed an act doesn't mean it's not National Pastry Day in my heart. And anyway, that calendar of obscure holidays that you put up has it. So it has to count.

Oh, I would never mean to suggest that it's not a holiday that doesn't deserve it's fair share of celebration, just that calling it "National" is a little misleading! But I'm sure the rest of the population isn't nearly as discriminating as I am about these things.

Well, but it's a fair point to bring up. I think people bandy about words like "national" and "official" when they technically shouldn't be used. But I think it should be a national day. I mean, who doesn't love pastries?

It's just a happy coincidence that the opening of our offshoot-pie-stand happened to fall on National Pastry Day, so we thought we'd offer free pie as a nice promotional gesture!

What kind of pie would you like? We've got these neat little menus that we slaved away over in that cute little Arts and Crafts hut here! If there's something you want that isn't on there, I'm sure we could manage to coerce Ned into making it for you!

Well, technically it's pie for the first time, since there wasn't any pie present before. Unless you got pie at a different time that I wasn't aware of.

I tend to talk a lot, yeah. It's a sign of nervousness, I guess. But it's just something I do.
