Have you ever read the Divine Comedy? It's not for everyone, but I do recommend it as both literature and a study of early 14th century Italian politics.

Boredom. I don't sleep and I think a lot faster than normal people because I don't have the same kind of 'brain'. The day lasts a lot longer when you can think about so many different things.
