Indeed. I am afraid that that is the truth. The only safety is attempting to maintain a sufficient physical distance from the plant or, if that is not possible, from other people. Unfortunately, that is made difficult by the insidious abundance of the plant and the ever-changing nature of what constitutes a "safe" distance.
Many attempts have been made in the past to combat it, but nothing has been successful. The efforts of camp's many scientists have likewise been futile.
