It sounds as if the speaker is wishing to live the life of Israfel, unsatisfied with their own. I believe they would be happier if they focused on the best things about the life they have, instead of comparing it to someone else's.

Then . . . it's sad for that reason, too, if they're truly unable to find anything good.
