*ignoring the cowardly Crow, one of the Chaos Gazers dies instantly, Shiki's knife finding the fracture point of its life. The other monsters take considerable damage, and the remaining Gazer seems close to death.

The Cataclysm Hound unleashes its breath weapon in a vile purple cloud, applying some portion of the following status effects to the entire party: Disease, Blind, Polymorph, Mana Drain, Stat Drain. In addition, all healing is reduced by three-quarters.

The remaining Gazer unleashes a crackling green beam from its eye, targeting Ayanami; if it hits, it will drain the life from him to mend its own wounds.*
