[pinged by justice]

Do I even want to ask why anyone would bring forth cases relating to the third one?

Ah ha, well, the tentacle monster can be quite forward. Not everyone appreciates that.

I was more thinking along the lines of why they would think it would be effective. It's a tentacle monster.

You'd be surprised what kind of things people will make lawsuits out of. Or try to, at least.

Fair point. I shouldn't underestimate how ridiculous people can be.

Or how overzealous. I don't believe I got your name last time we spoke?

Ah, sorry about that. Head Detective Carlton Lassiter, SBPD. Though in this place I'm supposed to be the firearms instructor.

[takes it, shakes it, etc.]

Ah, a detective! I was wondering if there were any other members of the police here besides Fräulein Morgan. Klavier Gavin, prosecutor and stage manager.

Another prosecutor... a pleasure. I hope you don't mind if I offer to assist in investigating this so-called murder mystery. It may not be my assignment here, but I'd like to think my skills would be better applied in the investigation.

Morgan? I can't say I've met anyone by that name.

Likewise. I don't mind at all; it's not my assignment either, but the case is here to be solved, and the more the merrier!

Ja, Deborah Morgan. She's the camp cop.

The faster we solve this mess, the merrier.

Ah, I see. I'll have to keep a lookout for her then. Thank you.

It's gone unsolved for more than three years. Not a terribly long time compared to some cases, but in this situation it's a long time indeed.

[this expression is more annoyed than freaked out]

Long enough for the scene and any uncollected and uncategorized evidence to become compromised. Long enough for witness testimony -- if there is any -- to possibly become distorted, or hazy.
Long enough to become a general pain in the ass.

Ja, something like that. What information we have is piecemeal at best and was compiled over very long periods with nothing in between. I've heard there are some who've been here the whole three years, but whether they have any testimony left to give is something I don't know.

One would hope that their testimonies have been recorded thoroughly already; because having to record it three years after the fact... [shaking his head]
Though before I jump the gun, I'll have to look at whatever information has already been gathered of course.

I'll have to check, since I haven't gone through all the files yet. Herr Forehead would know.
