These interesting events are now culminating in Joshua using his shiny new machine gun to turn Firo into a human beehive. Over and over again. The fun never stops when you're killing an immortal!]

It was an elixir, actually.

On the plus side, that means there's no nasty demon that you have some sort of pact with running around here. On the downside, there's a creep who actually dabbled in immortality research.

Maiza isn't a creep.

You do know how you have to test your immortality solution, right?

[SOUNDS SMARTER THAN HE NORMALLY DOES ALL OF A SUDDEN.] They studied alchemy, and were granted the potion by something they named as a demon, but wasn't actually. Maiza never had to test it, though there was someone else who did, many years later, while trying to recreate it.

[YEAH I am noticing that]

Someone who would willingly make a deal with a demon still doesn't strike you as a little skeevy? That other guy totally classifies as a creep, though. There's a reason why that research is forbidden in my world.

The Demon himself told the alchemists that's not actually what he was.

[normal tone again] And yes, he was a creep. But he got what he deserved, in the end.
Anyway, I didn't have anything to do with the original elixir.

[B-but my demonology piiing] Really? What was he then?

I'm glad he got what was coming to him, then.

A fight that got a little out of hand. ... Or a lot out of hand, depending on which end of the machine gun you're on.
