This world is quite full of improbable phenomena. Here, the simplest explanation is rarely the most likely, contrary to the common wisdom elsewhere... though how true that maxim may be in general, it is perhaps difficult to know for sure.

Yes, I have found it to often be untrue elsewhere as well -- although perhaps not with quite such frequency as it is here.
