Excuse me! If I could have your attention for a moment -- I'm looking for any fire-users who would like to volunteer their services. As you can see, I have a series of clothes set up here. They're meant to be fire-resistant. All you have to do is burn them down. In return for your help, I've got a selection of inventions from snowshoes to gorilla ( Read more... )

Why would you want to burn fire-resistant clothes? Isn't that besides the point?

Point in this case is to make sure they're fire-resistant.

You'll just wreck a perfectly good set of clothes!

Why would you want to go up there?!

You have to have a reason to go up there.

What kind of data would you get from a volcano that's useful?

Activity levels, lava flow, stability -- that sort of thing. Normally if a volcano appears in the amount of time this one does, it's a sign of emminent erruption.
