*Those in the general vicinity of the lake are likely to hear something...rather odd today. Something that can only be described as a series of bloop, bloop, bloops.*

*Upon closer inspection, one is also likely to see THIS.* )

Be careful, Nodame! There's no telling what they might do!

But they're so cute, Hero-san! Do you think they need a home?

It would seem that they do, actually. Mr Kisling doesn't appear to be taking responsibility for them!

I wonder if Chiaki-sempai would like having a--

... what are they, Hero-san? Nodame's never seen anything like them before!

You know, I'm not entirely sure. They appear to be squids, yet share a startling number of characteristics with Mr Kisling!

[d-drooling at the thought of fried squid, yumyum]

Haaauuun, squid...

Nodame doesn't know a Mr. Kisling though... who is he?

Mr Kisling would be the...er...gentleman standing in the centre of the rather impressive congregation of squids!

[indicates]

You can't miss him with trousers that loud, goodness knows none of us were able to!

G-Gyabou! He really does look like the squid-things! Ah, but Nodame likes his pants! They're very colourful and happy!

That's why some of us are concerned as to where the squids originated from, actually, but I'll keep my council until I've discussed the matter with him myself.

Oh, I won't dispute that! It's just not the typical clothing of a scholar, at least not one I've ever seen!

Maybe he ate too much squid curry, and then BOOM little squid-things, gyaha~

Huooh, he's a professor then? But if he likes wearing such bright and happy clothing, he's a probably a professor that students really like!

You...you mean to say that they're possibly a result of...of...flatulence?!

He's a scholar who focusses on the study of ghosts, actually!

Exactly! Fuuooh, if Hero-san was a student, Nodame would give you a gold star!

G-Ghosts? Mukyaa... Nodame can't decide if that's really scary or really neat...

Well...er...it's a plausible line of thought and far less distressing than what Tayuya and I were considering!

Back home, ghosts roam freely between the towns and in places like caves and dungeons! Some ghosts who aren't Evil Beings have taken jobs in Madril and live pretty much like the rest of us, too.

What did Hero-san and Tayuya-san think happened then?

Mukyaa, so they get to live like people again? That sounds really nice, Nodame wants to be that kind of ghost too!

It's too horrible to mention, I fear.

Well, those kinds of ghosts...I'm no expert, but I think they were born that way.
