Thank you for once again attending the ACROSS writing circle. I hope that the week since our last meeting has been a productive one for you, and that the progress on your NaNoWriMos has been fulfilling. I, for one, have had no difficulty meeting the quota, and I assume all of you are the same...

Okay! Um. So. Mine's a sci-fi...

Doppelganger Blue didn't know if she'd be able to catch the intrepid criminal from the Galopagos Star System. She may have been the best space pirate in her class, but she was only second when it came to bounty hunting! That title belonged to her beloved master, whose great deeds and knowledge and handsomeness and foresight and punctuality and personality and shimmering hair and job efficiency were all well-renowned throughout the galaxy!! He taught her everything she knew and a little more! She was so lucky to have him!

But he couldn't help her now! Rumor was, the criminal had psychic powers, and psychics could be dangerous like shuttle-rats with their phasers set to fricassee! There weren't a lot of psychics left, because the government killed most of them and destroyed their planet because they kept winning the intergalactic lottery. Of course, Doppelganger's master was a psychic, and a sorcerer, and he also excelled at math and painting and calligraphy and generally everything else a gentleman is ( ... )
