All eyes in the room stopped as the young woman stepped into the busy office. The senior Detective BigStomach surveyed the new arrival with a scratch to his scruffy chin. Did the agency or whatever really think a young woman like this would be able to solve the horrible mystery of the reoccurring SomethingCurse? When he thought about how innocent the hair curls (drill shaped, such a rarity) around her head made him think only that he wanted to protect her. The image in his mind of a girl who looked like she should be on television as an idol wearing a professional-yet-still-feminine looking suit, and discussing case details with her was not easy to think about.

He briefed her on the details. She occasionally interrupted, asking for more detail or pointing out the occasional contradiction. After a minute or two of awkward talking, Detective BigStomach began to think himself... maybe she DID have what it took to crack this case.
