I think it's usually the other way around with me.

I just end up helping other people out more than they help me.

The people who help me out are usually you guys anyway. Though, I guess when you came along to rescue me you were technically a stranger, so that counts.

But I didn't ask about that.

It's a stretch. What about your mom? Adopting someone else's kid is pretty big.

Nope, I guess not.

I guess it counts. She was my nurse though, so she probably knew me before she took me to Earth.

Huh, good point. I'm not sure I count either, but there's got to be others.

I guess you could say Iron Lad helped us all out by recruiting us to the team and we were all perfect strangers then.

He was asking you for help, though. You're not selfish enough for this.

He helped me way more than you know, Tommy. I'll always be grateful to him for that.

I meant more ... car breaks down, random person stops. Not stuff that ended up helping you later. But whatever.

Stuff like that happens more when you're a kid, I think.

Yeah, probably. I'm sure people helped me all the time. But I was kinda raised to be helpful so they probably didn't make a big enough impression to be remembered.

Plus, when you're a kid you figure it's adults' jobs.

Still. NYC and everyone is helpful? I fail to believe this.
