Looks like the last of the new arrivals are trickling in. Ah, it's come to my attention lately that a lot of people are confused about those of us that play American Football -- who we are, where we're from, all that.
Maybe this'll help. Or, you know, pass ten or fifteen minutes if nothing else.
There's four schools represented here: Oujou, Deimon, Seibu, and Kyoshin. We're all from the Tokyo region, and we're all playing in the same tournament with one goal in mind -- to get to the Christmas Bowl. Basically, there's the Tokyo tournament, and then the top teams from that move on to the Kantou tournament. From there, the teams playing in the Christmas Bowl, which is the final game in the season, will be decided. It's really impressive, and it's what a lot of players aim for.
But lemme avoid the tl;dr and get on with it. Oujou's the school I'm from. Our team is the White Knights! We're known for our Golden Generation, which was the team from last year and the year before, but then they graduated high school and went on to the university level. There is also nothing wrong with our water.
This is Shin. He's our linebacker, and is probably the best linebacker in Japan. I ... could go on for awhile. More importantly! If he makes that face in that icon right there while he's holding something of yours, take it away from him.
Takami-san's our quarterback. ... Actually, I'm not really sure what he does around camp, although I know he hangs out with Yuu-chan and those guys. Ah, he's a really good quarterback, though! And he has a mean right hook.
That's me. I'm Sakuraba Haruto, Oujou's receiver. If I had to describe myself like Hasegawa asked in that post of hers the other day, I'd say that I was some side character that didn't really do much in the grand scheme of things. We're never speaking of the incidents in late August and December again. I am perfectly normal and average.
Deimon's the next school. Actually, their football team really sucked for awhile, but they've gotten a lot better in the past year and are getting more attention now.
This should tell you all you really need to know about the kind of stuff Deimon's captain likes to pull.
--speaking of. HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN? Hiruma's the captain of Deimon and he's usually armed to the teeth. There's nothing like getting
coerced for something or other, you know. He's been missing lately, though, and that's a little ... unsettling. You can't miss him, seriously.
Sena's the team secretary! He got here around the same time I did, so a lot of you probably already know him. Hey, Miss Harley, thanks for that whistle ... He's-- well, he's Sena. And not for touching, Emilio.
Anezaki is Deimon's manager and the person we call on to beat Hiruma down when he's being Hiruma. She knows a lot about the game and is probably one of the most responsible people from our world. I think it goes something like ... "she tops with mops." If Hiruma told you anything about creampuffs, ah ... well!
This guy just got here ... his name's Monta, I think? That's what Sena says. Anyway, he's a receiver, like me, and he's also good friends with Sena. Just. Don't let him throw anything around you. Please don't ask him if he's related to any of the primates around here, either.
... I don't think any of us know what's up with this guy. He's, uh. He's Taki, he's the tight end, and he sleeps in a hammock.
I. ... Yeah.
Aaaand there's Eyeshield 21. He's this new running back that Shin and a lot of other people are all obsessed over. He's been seen around camp! No one can really find him after the games, though. It's like "Where's Waldo" for football. Go figure.
Suzuna here gets a special mention. She's not from Deimon, but she cheers them on. She's pretty enthusiastic, too! Taki is not her brother. Really.
--I. Have no idea why this is here and why I can't delete it.
Seibu is-- well, I guess "themed" is the best word for it? A lot of our teams kinda mirror our schools, but Seibu's got that whole cowboy thing going on. I hear they were off in Texas over the summer break. Hey, Kid, is that counselor Marshall guy related to your team at all?
--speaking of Kid. He's Seibu's quarterback, really fast, and will tell you he sucks and you shouldn't think much of him if you say that to his face. He's also probably heard every variation of any Brokeback joke in existance, so there's really no point in trying anymore.
... does he even count? I have no idea. That's Tetsuma, Seibu's receiver. He sleeps under Kid's bed. We don't know either.
This is Riku, Seibu's ... runningback, I think? He's an old friend of Sena's, so it's good that he decided to show up here as well. He seems to be mostly unaffected by Seibu's spaghetti western style.
Like I said, there's four schools here. The last one is one that a lot of us don't know much about, mostly because they won't tell us anything: Kyoshin. We didn't even realize these guys played football until one of them let it slip. Either they're secret weapons or they're really, really bored.
This is Kakei. If you can make him make that face, you're probably winning. He's kind of a jerk, and likes to slam Eyeshield 21 a lot. He'll probably be the second or third comment to this post once it goes up, and he'll probably use that icon and chide me for something or other.
In contrast, Mizumachi's not that bad. Mostly because he's usually making Kakei make that face when he's around, and anyone who can do that isn't all bad. ... has anyone seen him around, come to think of it?
That's about it, I think? A lot of us are big on football, but it's not everything. Talk to us! We like it! Most of us are hanging around Boys 13 with Arnaud and his friend Raquel, so feel free to stop on by whenever or ... whatever.
... and did anyone lose a pig? This one's been following me around all day.
