Once upon a time, in the land of C'fud there was a boy girl bo--girl? boy (I think) named Hyuuga Neji. He was not from that great kingdom, but from another place presumably far, far away. He was, however, among the first to appear in C'fud, and as the months wore by, he grew more and more to accept the fickle nature of this place, and in time, he reached a kind of peace with its nature.
Or so he thought.
But in the land of C'fud, such seemings are not always to be trusted, and something was destined to happen, and it did late one evening.
...A witch and radishes may have been involved, but the details aren't entirely clear.
