For some reason, our office seems to have a box full of old board games. Though they seem to be of rather... questionable taste, a few still look like they could be fun.

Anyone up for a game?

Perfect, a game about a swamp. I'll be right thereas soon as I roll a six and shoot this gorilla in the head. Or maybe I'll join in halfway through -- if it's going to last two years like the swamp game we're already stuck in.

No, the swamp game takes 10-20 minutes per play, according to the box.

What's the fake premise behind this one? "My swamp zombie ate my homework"?

"Join Swamp Thing and his heroic companions Tomahawk and Bayou Jack on a perilous journey to the heart of the bayou. Dr. Anton Arcane must be confronted, and his evil plot to destroy the bayou must be foiled. Along the way, you will encounter the Un-Men, Arcane's hideous henchmen, and at last, face Dr. Anton Arcane in the final climatic clash."

2-4 players, play time 20 minutes.

You lost me at trying to stop someone from destroying a bayou.

What, no sense of eco-responsibility?

If I ever get a giant laser, I'm blowing this place to pieces.

You might want to wait until you have a giant laser and there are no people living here.

It's probably "neither" either way.

You shouldn't give up hope like that. If it's what you really want, you should do your best to get that giant laser! Setting goals is a very important life skill.

... once upon a time, we had a giant laser, and then it was blown up.

By another giant laser?

No, by a smaller one.

How unfortunate.

Yeah, yeah, at least people stopped shooting it at us.

I'm sure there's a lesson to be learned there.
