Because everybody in here misses somebody. I just don't want to whine about the obvious.

It's not whining! Friends need to support one another in trying times, it's one of the things they're there for!

I know they'd be supportive. It's just something I have to deal with myself.

It's good to be self-sufficient, but it can also be considered an insult to your allies if you refuse to let them help you through these things.

They would try to help and probably just would make it worse and then I would have to push them away. And that would be even more insulting.
