Mr. Stephan Debussey is alive.

Discuss.

eta: "The Camp Director's fiance" may be more familiar to most of you. As for how we know, Mr. Wright, Ms. Mia Fey, Ms. Asuna Kagurazaka, and I spoke with him. ... as for how that was even possible, Ms. Mia Fey could probably explain it better than I could. His identity was confirmed ( Read more... )

When you piece the evidence together, the facts regarding the murder never did quite line up.

I read all her notes, when they were floating around camp... there's a temporal paradox, if you don't mind me getting all abstract and shit. The killer did it because he stayed in camp, but there's no mention of time travel on her part, and half the time it sounds like she killed him herself. Lunatic.

The fact is, Mr. Stephan Debussey was not murdered at that time, temporal paradoxes aside. There was no murder.

See, I was thinking that it hadn't happened yet, and that's why she can't pick the murderer.

It happened in 2005. For it to be an issue with time, the murderer would have to travel back in time and kill him then and there.

It is February 2007, and he is alive and well.

...so the director's just nuttier than a fruitcake. Not that she wasn't already.

How did you find out?

I must admit that the date is an estimate on my part. Given the notes, it's possible that it may have happened well before then -- and now that I review them, it's more likely that she believes the murder occured earlier.

We spoke with him through a medium.

Okay. Slight flaw in your logic. ...mediums contact dead people.

... I know. We questioned that. However, his statements have lined up with everything -- there is no way anyone but Stephan Debussey could have known what he stated. I confirmed his identity myself.

Maybe he's dead but just doesn't think he's dead.

In Detroit, at a bus stop, eating meat buns. This was no dead man.

The curious part is that he thought Ms. Sayre was dead.

...

Curious is a very generous word.

Indeed. There is much more to this than what meets the eye, even with this new fact.

[h-hi terry I was a half-asleep moron last night, let's just pretend I said 2000 and not 2005? ♥]

Well if she's dead... do you think the medium could channel the director?

((I was also mostly asleep and only just saw your note. We are clearly awesome. ♥))

I didn't say she was dead. I only said Mr. Debussey believed her to be dead.
