Theoretically, I believe audience cannot have a chance for a committed relationship like campers can, since interactions are limited by the time-space continuum. We're not really there in camp, so any interaction we have with campers is limited to if and when they want to interact with people. ^^;
It is hard to establish a long-lasting relationship if you don't know how they are completely. Some may be able to do that, but it's not for me.
[Of course, this doesn't stop me from teasing characters from canons I like - Trowa when he first came to camp, for example. (=^.^=)]
I don't think it does. I think it's just more of a surprise then anything. Nobody's expecting someone to yell "Married!" at you when you first arrive, after all.

As for expressing feelings...somehow I doubt the Director would allow us to FedEx courtship gifts to the person of our choice.
Possibly more coherent thoughts tomorrow.
