Okay, so I totally get that this place has some major bad cell reception, and I'm taking this up with my carrier, like yesterday, because, "no, I cannot hear you now" -- or anyone for that matter.

But seriously could someone please explain to me why the road the van took dropping me off here has suddenly vanished from the face of the planet?

...I don't know what the IO stands for, but I don't think this is a concentration camp? I've only been here for a few days, so I don't know that much about it yet either.
