It hath come to my attention that our numbers have seen an increase of late, that newcomers have arrived in our ranks. In the interest of fostering camaraderie, then--and to ensure that the Odinson might ne'er be accused of a deficiency of courtesy--please permit me to initiate appropriate introductions.
For those who may not know, I am Thor, son of Odin and Prince of Asgard, the Realm Eternal, and I give thee greetings. Now, these names may be familiar to some, but I can verily assure thee that I am not, in actuality, the figure out of thy legends... Although there are... certain similarities. Regardless, 'tis my hope that my... unique heritage... will prove no impediment in the forging of our friendship. If I can provide thee any service--any honorable service--then please consider me at thy disposal.
Also... I am aware that my manner of speech and comportment might well seem rather peculiar, or o'erly formal, or e'en outright amusing to those unfamiliar with the custom of my homeland. I pray thee, by no means feel obligated to bring the matter to my attention by informing me that I "talk funny"--others hath already seen to it.
