SRS POLL GO

What do your characters believe in? Do they believe what they read in the news or what other people tell them, or even the things they see? What are their philosophies, religious systems, and ideals they will defend to the death (or, as in the case of my own characters, someone else's death)?

Il Palazzo believes that he is the only one who can correct the corrupt state of the world, and that's about it. Religiously, he's a big atheist (which makes enough sense, since he predates modern religion), the kind that can argue you on every point and make nuns cry. The fact that he is pals with God does not change this stance.

Excel believes in whatever Lord Il Palazzo believes in! She also believes in a lot of other totally random and sometimes contradictory things, like a good cult member should. She's kind of like that beliving machine in Dirk Gently like that.

Flonne believes in LOVE and FRIENDSHIP and sometimes EXPLOSIONS. She's also an angel, which makes it sort of a given that she believes in God, which I think is kind of ironic, because you'd have a hard time convincing me that the Disgaea world has one.

Franziska's kind of confused about what she believes in right now, but she's pretty darned sure she still believes in winning, and she definitely still believes in whipping people.

Hannibal believes in having nice ( ... )

First and foremost, Velaxis believes in himself. He also believes in what to many people seems like the supernatural, because he has first-hand experience of such things, and knows that they do exist.

As far as religion is concerned, Wraeththu have their own pantheon of Gods, called the Dehara. These Gods are so important to Wraeththu, that they have their own damn book!. (yes I bought a copy, stfu)

Velaxis also believes in the existence of The Aghama, the ultimate Wraeththu God, because he works for him.

Shunsui believes in what he knows from his own experience. He's generally not quick to believe just anything someone tells him, nor does he quickly jump to conclusions about things, instead seeing the less obvious assumptions. Religiously... well, Shunsui's a shinigami. So he believes in life and death and reincarnation in the sense of that's how it works and he's personally a part of making sure that continues to work. He's pretty... not quite atheistic, more agnostic on the idea of gods: if they're there, they haven't made their presence known, so it doesn't really matter as far as he's concerned.

Oh, and Shunsui believes in justice. But not of the giving speeches about how justice will prevail all variety, just simply thinking things through and knowing that some things are wrong no matter how you look at it. He already has risked his life for this before. |Db

Kodachi mostly believes in herself, to a ridiculous extent. She thinks she can mostly do anything if she really puts her mind to it, because there is nothing she thinks she isn't fantastic at, and therefore everything will naturally go her way in the end. Even when reality disputes this and has done so repeatedly in the past, this is still her core belief. As she lives in Nerima she also believes in the supernatural and mostly considers it a "ho-hum, well that's rather odd" thing by now. Even if she's more sheltered from the weirdness of Nerima than pretty much the rest of the cast, she generally knows its there and mostly just tries to block out parts she doesn't like. As far as religion goes... I've never really thought about that. I don't think she really practices or is devout or anything, anyway, but she believes in a higher power and she thinks that higher power is very fond of her.

Ikkaku believes in Kenpachi first, honor systems&codes second, himself third. Believes in endings with honor, living life to its fullest and going out with a bang and shit. He also believes in luck and karma.

Watanuki believes...pretty much everything, because he's had firsthand exposure to...everything. As far as personal beliefs go--he DOES believe in the inherent goodness of people, that anyone can do anything with enough hard work...that sort of thing.

Rukia believes in Ichigo 8D Also has a strict sense of honor and dignity. She believes in the ability of people to change and has a pretty strict moral value system.

Kid doesn't believe in a whole lot. 'Cept, like, Tetsuma.

Abel is a pretty crappy Catholic. He isn't very religious, but he does believe in destiny! Also, everything Lilith believed ever.
