Whoah. It's been almost a month since my last entry. Since then not much has happened. I've been getting more hours at work-it makes quite a difference in the 'ol paycheck. The managers are a pain for the most part. They act as if they are superior-geez, do they realize they work at a retail store? All they do is stand around, turn keys on the registers, and get to say "no" to the customers (part of the never say no policy).
The school quarter is almost over (thank goodness-I'm sick of these classes). Over the summer quarter I'm only taking a math class and an Alpine hiking class for fun. It meets 5 times in August for six hours each time. I'm planning on practicing hiking and getting into shape. There's a good park nearby I hiked the other day. I almost got lost, and had to climb up a couple inclines that had me on my hands to pull myself up the hill. It was nice, though. Some people hate hiking but I love camping, and would like to add hiking as the next step to being outdoor-friendly. I'm also going to start swimming. The nearest one is 15 minutes away, but my Gra'ma bought me a swim suit and swim towel as my 21st birthday gift and pay for part of the pool membership.
I'm going home this weekend for my birthday (luckily it's the day before Memorial Day, so I get to go home for 4 days), and my mom is getting some of the family together for at a restaraunt. I'm hoping she's asking the whole family, because that would be fun to see my Aunts and Uncles and cousins too. My Uncle Doug was surprised that I had never had a drink before, but I figure that my 21st birthday will be more special that way (though I wish I was turning 19 again instead).
I've been terrible at keeping in touch with my friends. Part of that started with me not having internet access for six months in Seattle, and only getting a limited amount of minutes on my cell per month, and it just became habit. I need to email and call some of them.
