1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?
Started running like a crazy person: two ten milers, a half marathon ... oh, and running with the bulls, which really WAS crazy.
2. Did you keep your New Years' resolutions and will you make more for next year?
Not in the slightest. Sigh. But I will make some for 2007, if only to give Ayan a chance to shame me again.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not yet, but soon! I am so excited to meet you, Parker Grace!
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, and I am so grateful.
5. What new places did you visit?
Spain, France sans Paris/Loire valley, NYC
6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
True happiness.
7. What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
August 8, moving back home and starting again.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Deciding to put myself first and get out of a job I despised.
9. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Yes. But I am trying to get better.
10. Whose behavior merited celebration?
All of us. We did well, friends.
11. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Most Republicans. And Tank Johnson, who is both a thug and a dog abuser.
12. Where did most of your money go?
My lovely but expensive apartment.
13. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
The trip to Spain/France. It was so worth it.

15. Compared to last year, are you: Happier/sadder? Thinner/fatter? Richer/poorer?
Sadder. Probably the same. Unemployed, so definitely poorer!

Spending time with friends, laughing, soul-searching.

Wasting time.
18. How will you spend the 2006 holidays?
Christmas with family and then ringing in 2007 with my best friend. (Who I hope will ring them all in with me.)

Was it 2005? Or 2006? All I know is that I am. :)

This is too hard! The Office, Ugly Betty, Entourage, Project Runway ... the list goes on.

I would have to echo my cinemaphile friend amandaebner and say Little Miss Sunshine. What a great movie.

Unexplainable happiness.

I bought a pair of lounge pants in Texas two weeks ago and I don't think I've worn another pair of pants since. So, yeah, the pants.

Life keeps going, so any day not spent happy and relishing it is a day wasted.

Crossing the finish line at my races and feeling like I could have done it all over again. It's great to know what your body can accomplish if you just try.
