I just got an earful for watching my Tivoed episode of the Practice instead of the Duke game. Apparently the rule is that when you pick a team to go all the way, you have to be in front of the TV at all times to witness their potential demise.
"Did you see that?"
"See what."
"WHAT? What are you doing?"
"Watching the Practice."
"What?!?! Duke just lost."
"Oh."
"YOU PICKED THEM!!!!"
"So?"
"So this means you're going to lose!!!"
"Well, wasn't I going to lose before?"
(Silence)
"You're not allowed to do any brackets next year."
"Did you see that?"
"See what."
